Where you sleep changes the rhythm of the whole holiday. What matters is not the distance on the map, it’s the minutes between your door and Le Saline when the thermal wind starts to build.
Start from the kind of trip you want
Maximum water time? Stay as close to the spot as you can, which means Murta Maria or the Le Saline area itself. If you’d rather have restaurants and services around you, and maybe skip the rental car, Olbia town is often the better base. For a holiday that is half sport and half beach life, look at San Teodoro, Porto San Paolo or Porto Taverna and accept the longer drive.
Main areas
| Area | Best for | Indicative drive |

| Olbia center | First visit, services, evenings | 10-15 min |
| Porto San Paolo / Porto Taverna | Couples and families | 20-30 min |
| San Teodoro | Beach holiday and nightlife | 30-40 min |
| Costa Smeralda | Scenery and premium stays | 40+ min |

We can help with accommodation
Over the seasons we’ve built up contacts with local hosts and properties. Write to us before you book and we can often suggest an area, or put you directly in touch with somewhere that fits your dates and lesson plan.
A few practical filters when you compare options: parking, space to dry wetsuits, and a location that doesn’t push you through heavy summer traffic every day. Equipment is included in our lessons, so there’s no need to travel with your own kite, wing or board unless you want to.
When you have a shortlist, send it to us and we’ll match it against wind windows and our kitesurf lessons in Olbia.
